Pearl of the orient
It may take me longer than usual, but even damaged undersea cables caused by quake would not prevent me from uploading these images.

When it comes to aircraft, I could not help but remembering an amusing quote by one of my aunts. She said in her thick Perlis dialect " Aku heran betoi dengan kapai terbang. Macamana tongkoi besi boleh terbang!" which translates to " I am amazed by airplanes. How could they make metals fly". I did not think explaining Bernoulli principle to her would make her any less impressed.

"Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity."-Albert Einstein

I wonder how much "sitting with a pretty girl" Einstein got to do during his lifetime considering the big geek he was.

Submission to The Almighty
Allah says "Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing." [21:30]

Stranger in the house

Amusing quote I found in internet,

"What's the difference between "involvement" and "commitment?" Well, think of the ham and eggs you had for breakfast this morning. The chicken was involved; the pig was committed."

I use Olympus compact camera mju700. It is small and easily slotted in the pocket. Wished it had OIS like Lumix. Olympus idea for anti-shake is by increasing the iso which will allow for faster shutter speed. The picture resolution suffers though. I am looking for another compact digital as a gift for my father. He is the one indirectly intoducing me into the world of photography. I remember toying with his pentax 35mm slr when I was little. I even took a picture of my sister without his knowledge. It came out surprisingly ok. Looking at the photos that he took,I could not help feeling envious at his skill at composing. I dont think I am a chip off the old block....at least not yet. Back a few years ago, when digital camera was at its infancy, my father bought a Nikon coolpix digital camera with 3 megapixel resolution. He brought it along to almost everywhere he goes, firing shots whenever his photographic eyes deems fit. Nowdays, his Nikon is a bit dated and I am planning to replace it with higher resolution one. I will be ebaying to see if there is anything worthy for the man.

last pic is cool... Sat 23-Sep-2006 13:13
